Demand in the Turkish pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) market has remained on the weak side ahead of the Ramadan holiday, with a slight recovery expected after the holiday. Meanwhile, local prices have indicated no changes since last week.

Turkish mills' local offers for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are standing at $1,1030-1,080/mt, while offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $890-940/mt and prices for RAL 9002 1 mm stand at $810-850/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.

In the meantime, demand for Turkish PPGI exports, which was at moderate levels last week, has weakened this week. Ex-Turkey PPGI offers have remained stable since last week at $875-925/mt FOB, for August production.
