Positive trend in local Chinese stainless steel market

The Chinese domestic stainless steel market has been trending upward during the past week.
 
Global nickel prices have had a strong upward trend during last week. On April 22, the three-month nickel price at the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed at $18,325/mt, while LME nickel inventory on the same date totaled 277,716 mt.
 
Nickel prices have continued their strong upward trend during past week. With the influence of that the Chinese domestic stainless prices have also showed a strongly upward trend especially in 304 series. According to traders, after a price increase, the trading volume has also showed a better trend. And supply volume is becoming tight. Traders are willing to hold their inventory and wait for a higher price to sale. So for next week, experts believe the upward trend of stainless will continue.
