Outokumpu announces April surcharges

Finland-based steelmaker Outokumpu has announced alloy surcharges for its stainless steel grades effective for April 2007. According to the statement released by the company, Outokumpu will apply an alloy surcharge of Euro 2,595 per ton on its 304 series for April 2007 deliveries. The surcharge on the 304 series for March 2007 is Euro 2,347 per ton. In addition, the alloy surcharge for April on the 316 series will be Euro 4,324 per ton, up Euro 348 from the March surcharge, while the 430 ferritic grade series will be subject to an alloy surcharge of Euro 242 per ton, up nine euros from the March surcharge.
