Nucor Sheet Mill Group raises flat-rolled prices $40/nt

The Nucor Sheet Mill Group announced Tuesday that due to the continued strengthening demand for its products as well as increasing raw material costs, the company there will be a minimum $2.00 cwt. ($44/mt or $40/nt) base price increase on new orders for hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC) and galvanized products effective immediately.

Nucor added the company reserves the right to review and re-quote any offers that are not confirmed with either a Nucor sales acknowledgement or written acceptance by both parties.

This increase marks Nucor Sheet Mill Group's seventh increase announcement and a total of $14.00 cwt. ($309/mt or $280/nt) in increases since just after the Thanksgiving holiday.
