On Monday, Nucor Sheet Mill Group indicated that the September 2012 Raw Materials Surcharge (RMS) based on the price of busheling scrap will be $250/nt ($12.50 cwt. or $276/mt). This represents an $83/nt ($4.15 cwt. or $91/mt) increase from last month's surcharge announcement.
This will be applied to all RMS-based orders with a scheduled delivery date of week ending September 1 through September 29, 2012 as displayed on Nucor's sales order acknowledgement.
