Nucor Sheet Mill Group and NMLK USA today announced they would be raising base prices on new orders of hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil and hot dipped galvanized sheet by a minimum of $1.50 cwt. ($33/mt or $30/nt), effective immediately.
Although the mill did not set a new, minimum base price for flat rolled steel products, if absorbed, Nucor's price increase is expected to put HRC at $33.50-$34.00 cwt. ($739-$750/mt or $670-$680/nt). CRC at $43.50-$44.00 cwt. ($959-$970/mt or $870-$880/nt) and HDG coil at $33.50-$34.00 cwt ($739-$750/mt or $670-$680/nt).
