NLMK Indiana, Duferco Farrell and Sharon Coating announce November flat rolled base prices

Portage, Indiana-based hot rolled coil (HRC) producer NLMK Indiana, Farrell, Pennsylvania-based hot strip mill Duferco Farrell Corporation, and Sharon, Pennsylvania-based galvanized steel coil supplier Sharon Coating, LLC announced Monday they will increase flat rolled base prices effective with orders placed November 1, 2010 and beyond.

Domestic spot prices for the products in question are now as follows: HRC is $28.00 cwt. ($617/mt or $560/nt), cold rolled coil (CRC) is $33.00 cwt. ($728/mt or $660/nt) and Galvanized and Galvanneal is $33.00 cwt. ($728/mt or $660/nt).

Duferco officials have also said that due to the dramatic increase in the cost of zinc they are returning to previous Galvanized and Galvannealed coating extras.
