Coated flat steel prices in the Italian market have remained unchanged since last week, while domestic demand for these products is still weak. European and Indian mills are expected to announce new prices for their August production this week or next week, and prices are forecast to remain at current levels or decrease by about €10-15/mt ($12-18/mt). However, even if prices increase, this would not attract a response from the demand side, but would only possibly help market prices to remain on a stable trend.
Accordingly, 0.6 mm hot dip
galvanized (HDG) prices in the Italian domestic market are still at €650-655/mt ($800-806/mt), while prices for 100 gr/m² zinc
coated standard color pre-painted sheet of 0.6 mm thickness are standing at €830-850/mt ($1,021-1,046/mt), both ex-warehouse.
Meanwhile, SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that Indian 0.6 mm PPGI offers to
Italy are still standing at €800/mt ($984/mt) CFR, while Indian offers for 0.6 mm hot dip
galvanized (HDG) sheet are at €650/mt ($800/mt) CFR.
