SteelOrbis has been informed that price levels in the Vietnamese flat steel market now have less support due to the impact of the monsoon rains on demand.
Hot rolled coil (
HRC) prices in the Vietnamese domestic market currently stand at VND 12,400-12,450/kg ($586-588/mt) ex-warehouse, while cold rolled coil (
CRC) prices are at VND 15,300-15,400/kg ($723-728/mt) ex-works, with both price ranges unchanged over the past two weeks. Meanwhile, prices of rerolling quality
HRC of 2 mm thickness have remained in the range of VND 13,000-13,150/kg ($614-621/mt) ex-warehouse.
On the other hand, Chinese
HRC offers to
Vietnam have decreased by $3/mt over the past two weeks to $518/mt CFR, while Chinese offers for rerolling quality
HRC of 2 mm thickness stand at $530-535/mt CFR, decreasing by $5/mt over the same period.
