During the given week, steel plate prices have indicated some increases, particularly on October 12, as semi-finished steel prices in Tangshan rebounded on October 11, while, furthermore, some steel plate products have been in short supply. Currently, volumes of new supplies arriving in the market have declined, providing some support for steel plate prices. Meanwhile, major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel has issued its prices for November delivery, keeping most of its product prices stable, which is expected to have a positive impact on the steel market. It is thought that steel plate prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely move on a stable trend or a slight rising trend in the coming week.
