According to market sources, demand in the local
UK hot rolled coil (
HRC) market is currently at medium levels, though sellers' profit margins are very tight now. Meanwhile, domestic producers' local
HRC prices are currently at GBP 345/mt ($535/mt) ex-works for June production.
On the other hand,
UK-based traders' offers to their local market for Russian, Chinese and Iranian
HRC of S355JR and S275JR grades are in the range of GBP 350-355/mt ($543-550/mt) ex-warehouse and GBP 320-350/mt ($496-543/mt) ex-warehouse , respectively. Meanwhile,
UK-based traders' offers to their local market for Russian, Chinese and Iranian 8 mm
HRC of the same grades are at GBP 365/mt ($543/mt) ex-warehouse and GBP 350/mt ($566/mt) ex-warehouse, respectively. The prices are for May delivery.
