SteelOrbis has been informed that the local HRC price levels in Poland are at PLN 2,300/mt ($816/mt) delivered to customer, excluding VAT.

The local prices in the Polish market have declined by around PLN 27/mt compared to last week; however this decline has been reflected as an increase of $56/mt on a dollar basis. The main reason for this is the appreciation of the Polish currency against the euro and US dollar. The $/PLN exchange rate has decreased to the level of 2.81, after rising above the level of 3.00 over the last week.

Under the current circumstances, export offers have gained a greater advantage in the Polish domestic market. In addition, it is seen that the decreasing trend of prices has softened compared to previous weeks.
