SteelOrbis has been informed that the local prices for HRC in the Syrian market are at $600/mt ex-warehouse, whereas prices for HDG stand at $950-1,000/mt ex-warehouse and local CRC prices are at $650/mt, with three-month deferred payment.

Flat steel prices have been maintaining their slackening trend in the local Syrian flats market. The demand level is also low for the time being. Although stock levels are not high in this country, imports are still not being considered.

Offer levels for galvanized products have also declined in Syria compared to last week. It is reported that Chinese origin offers for 0.45-1.0 mm thickness and 100 gr/m² zinc coated material are at around the level of $900/mt CFR Syria.
