China's domestic
stainless steel market has followed a stable trend during the past week.
Global nickel prices have seen minor fluctuations in the past week, with prices slightly down compared to one week ago. On August 20, the three-month nickel price at the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed at $18,850/mt, while LME nickel inventory on the same date totaled 324,840 mt.
In the Chinese domestic
stainless steel market, overall trading activity has continued to be sluggish. However, with the weather becoming cooler, demand is expected to show an improvement soon. In this context, most traders are keeping their prices stable and maintaining a wait-and-see stance for now. As for the coming week, the stable trend in the market is expected to continue, while some slight upticks in prices may be seen for certain products depending on improvements on the demand side.
