During the week ending July 6, the average prices of Chinese domestic hot dip galvanized (HDG) have continued their rising trend, while transaction activity in the market has been at medium levels. Average HDG prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, the continuous rises seen in domestic HDG prices have caused buyers to be more eager to conclude purchases, with transaction activities at medium levels. However, due to hotter weather conditions, demand from downstream users will likely slacken in the coming period. On the other hand, HRC futures prices have increased, providing support for HDG prices. It is thought that HDG prices in the Chinese domestic market will move sideways in the coming week.
