During the week ending April 10, the Chinese domestic hot dip galvanized (HDG) market has indicated a slight upward movement, while demand has been improving gradually. Average HDG prices in the local Chinese market can be viewed in the SteelOrbis price reports section.

In the given week, the gradual improvement seen in demand for HDG from downstream users has encouraged traders to increase their selling prices. Some traders whose inventories are at low levels are unwilling to sell at the moment due to their optimism on the prospects for the market in the coming period. However, more traders are less upbeat and think that the current rising trend may not continue for long. It is thought that Chinese domestic HDG prices will move on a slight rising trend in the coming week, while sentiment in the market is expected to be on the cautious side.
