According to market sources, demand in the Ukrainian domestic flat steel market has been stable, while prices have trended sideways, with hot rolled coil (HRC) prices remaining at $735-740/mt  ex-warehouse, including 20 percent VAT and for July shipments.

In the Ukrainian domestic market, cold rolled coil (CRC) prices are still as follows:

Product

Price ($/mt)

CRC   0.50 mm

830-835

CRC   1.0 mm

775-780

CRC   2.0 mm

755-760

The above prices are ex-warehouse, include 20 percent VAT and for July shipments.

Flat steel prices in the Ukrainian domestic market reached a peak and started to trend sideways in June after trending up for several months during the spring amid the devaluation of the Ukrainian currency and seasonal conditions. Ukrainian suppliers are expected to try to maintain their current price levels during July and early August, while market sources report that the seasonal and political conditions in the country are not suitable for a price increase.
