Over the past month, demand in the Turkish domestic steel plate spot market has remained weak, while local traders' prices have declined by $10/mt in the same period. With the US dollar gaining strength against the Turkish lira as of the beginning of the current week and standing at TRY 3.01 today, January 6, uncertainties have emerged in the market. Meanwhile, buyers are waiting for a clearer picture and are only concluding bookings in line with their needs.
