Latest situation in local European flat steel market

Demand in the local European flat steel market is still at medium levels, while European producers’ prices have generally moved upwards over the past week. 
 
European producers’ hot rolled coil (HRC) prices to their domestic market have increased by €5/mt ($6/mt) on the low end to €425-460/mt ($463-501/mt) ex-works, while cold rolled coil (CRC) offers have risen by €10/mt ($11/mt) to €510-540/mt ($556-589/mt) ex-works, week on week. Meanwhile, European mills’ hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil offers for southern Europe have moved up by €10/mt ($11/mt) €510-540/mt ($556-589/mt) ex-works, while in northern Europe mills’ HDG prices have remained at €540-550/mt ($589-600/mt) ex-works, week on week.
