According to market sources, Italian producers' offers to their domestic markets for S275 heavy plates currently stand at €520/mt ($582/mt) ex-works, while one week ago they were at €530-540/mt ($594-605/mt). The decrease is due to the lack of strength of demand - with customers buying only what they need - and the negative sentiment caused by the downtrend of coil prices. Meanwhile, import heavy plate prices in Italy are at around €480-490/mt ($538-549/mt) CIF Italy.
