Is a trade case imminent for US import HDG?

Players within the US import hot dipped galvanized (HDG) and Galvalume coil markets seem to think the proverbial writing is on the wall and that a trade case filing against certain offshore producers of coated steel products could be imminent.  Others point out the rumblings indicate a filing could happen before the end of the month.  “At this point, we’re all just sitting here waiting for the ball to drop,” according to one Midwest-based source.  “There’s still a lot of import that’s sitting around on the ground and since no one is in an emergent need-to-buy-now situation, customers are waiting on the sidelines until the situation becomes more clear.”
