SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that Iranian state-owned flat steel producer Mobarakeh Steel is preparing to hold an export tender for its June hot rolled coil (HRC) production.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, the producer's previous tender for its May production HRC had concluded at $720-725/mt FOB. Although it is reported that the steelmaker is again targeting the same price range, market insiders consider that, due to the falling trend in the global flat steel markets, the transaction price may be as low as $710/mt FOB.
