It is observed that demand in the local Iranian hot rolled coil (HRC) market is at low levels, while domestic HRC prices have moved up by $20/mt on the lower end compared to the price levels recorded in the SteelOrbis report on August 7 to $730-750/mt ex-warehouse, including nine percent VAT. Market sources state that buyers’ HRC inventories are at decent levels, and so they are not expected to accelerate their HRC purchases in the short term.
