Average steel plate prices in China are presented in the table below.
In the given week, since steelmakers have resumed their production and as traders have been returning to the market, transaction activities have been much better than in the previous week. Meanwhile, Chinese domestic ferrous metal futures prices have increased, contributing to the rising trend of steel plate prices in the Chinese domestic market. However, inventory levels of steel plate have risen, exerting negative pressure on steel plate prices in the spot market. It is thought that steel plate prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely move sideways in the coming week.
