This week, demand for Turkish flat steel in the export markets is still weak. However, market players state that inquiries from overseas buyers for Turkish flat steel have increased following the previous price decreases made by suppliers. In the meantime, transactions have been for small tonnages. Currently, Turkish hot rolled coil (HRC) offers to the export markets are at $390-400/mt FOB, while Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) export offers are at $510-515/mt FOB, both for August production and both remaining stable over the past week.
