Although some deals have been concluded, importers tell SteelOrbis that the Indian flat steel import market is generally quiet.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, the latest SAE 1006 grade hot rolled coil (HRC) deal from Russia to India has been concluded at $680/mt CFR, but no new offers have been heard from Russia yet. Meanwhile, new HRC offers from Russia to India are not likely to indicate a significant change. In the meantime, Chinese HRC offers to India are standing at $680-690/mt CFR. In addition, HRC transactions have been concluded from Iran to India at the level of $680/mt CFR.
