Improved demand boosts Mexican electro galvanized sheet prices

Following five weeks of stability, the price of the Mexican electro galvanized sheet has risen $14/mt ex-mill to $899/mt ex-mill.

Industry sources said that the Ministry of Economy's actions against cold rolled coil (CRC) imports from South Korea have also impacted the prices of electro galvanized sheet.

Additionally, the manufacturing sector (particularly automotive, appliance and aerospace), is demanding increased domestic output, particularly by the Program for the Manufacturing Industry and Export Services (IMMEX), which proposed a set of tax benefits and customs fees to benefits manufacturers that export.
