Demand for imported plate in Turkey has remained weak, while prices are unchanged. Bulgarian mill Stomana has been expected to issue new offers, though the producer has not yet made the anticipated announcement.

Currently, steel plate offers to Turkey given by Ukrainian steel producer Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works are still standing at $590-595/mt CFR for late September production, while another Ukrainian mill Ilyich Iron & Steel Works is offering end of September output plate to Turkey at the base price level of $600/mt CFR. In addition, Macedonian mill Makstil's offers are still at $750/mt CFR for late September rolling.
