SteelOrbis has learned that import HDG coil offers from
India to the US, with the specifications of 0.012" by 40.875" G30 (0.30 mm x 1.04 m), currently range from approximately $860/mt to $880/mt CFR FO US Gulf ports. Indian offers of 0.019” x 48” G90 (0.48 mm x 1.219 m) HDG coils for the US range from $840/mt to $860/mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports. Both of these offering ranges are down approximately $20/mt since last week.
Meanwhile, Chinese HDG offers for the US have dropped by about $10/mt since last week and continue to represent the most competitive import offerings in the US HDG market. Chinese offers of 0.012" G30 now range from $790/mt to $800/mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports, while Chinese offers of 0.019" G90 now range from $810/mt to $830/mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports.
Taiwan, in the meantime, has rescinded its previous HDG offers for the US and is not currently in the market. Last week's HDG import offers from
Taiwan to the US were about $15 to $20/mt higher than the Indian and Chinese offerings.
