SteelOrbis has learned that India’s offers of HDG (hot dip galvanized) coils for the US, with the specifications of 0.019" x 48" G90 (0.48 mm x 1.219 m), have declined by approximately $40/mt since last week, with most offers now ranging from about $600 /mt to $620 /mt CFR FO US Gulf ports.
Offers of the same size and coating (0.019" x 48" G90) from Taiwan dropped by about $30 /mt since last week, with most offers now ranging from $620 /mt to $650 /mt CFR FO US West Coast ports. South Korean offers of the same size and coating range from $600 /mt to $620 /mt CFR FO US West Coast ports, which reflects a $20 /mt decrease to the upper end of last week's offering range. Competitive HDG offers from China for the US for 0.019" G90 dropped by about $20 /mt since last week with offers now ranging from $620 /mt to $640 /mt CFR FO US Gulf ports. However, most Chinese mills are not offering competitively.
The offering price range from India to the US for HDG coils with the specifications of 0.012" by 40.875" G30 (0.30 mm x 1.04 m) fell by about $10 /mt since last week, with most offers now ranging from $640 /mt to $680 /mt CFR FO Gulf ports. The more competitive Chinese offers for 0.012" G30 range from approximately $660 /mt to $680 /mt CFR FO Gulf ports, which also reflects a decrease of $10 /mt since last week.
For the same size and coating (0.012" x 40.875" G30), Taiwanese offers have come down by about $20 /mt since last week, with most offers now ranging from $660 /mt to $680 /mt CFR FO West Coast ports. South Korean offers of the same size and coating have remained at the same levels as last week, with most offers ranging from $640 /mt to $660 /mt CFR FO West Coast ports.
