SteelOrbis has learned that Chinese hot dipped galvanized (HDG) light gauge coil offers for the US with the specifications of 0.012" by 40.875" G30 (0.30 mm x 1.04 m) have dropped in price and now currently range from $880/mt to $900/mt. These offers represent the most competitively priced import offerings of this product. Chinese offers of 0.019" x 48" G90 (0.48 mm x 1.219 m) HDG coils range from $875/mt to $900/mt, which is significantly lower than offers of this product from other offshore sources.
Meanwhile, Indian hot dipped galvanized (HDG) coil offers for the US with the specifications of 0.012" by 40.875" G30 (0.30 mm x 1.04 m) have also dropped in price from last week and now range from $930/mt to $940/mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports, while indications for Indian offers of 0.019" x 48" G90 (0.48 mm x 1.219 m) HDG coils are also at approximately $930/mt to $940/mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports, which is also a decline from last week.
Taiwanese offers of 0.012" G30 currently range from $960/mt to $970/mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports, which reflects no change since last week, while Taiwanese offers of 0.019" G90 to the US range from $940/mt to $950/mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports, unchanged since last week. Taiwanese offers of Galvalume (0.019" x 41.5625" Gr80/AZ55) coils for the US continue to range from $960/mt to $970/mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports.
