SteelOrbis has learned that import HDG coil offers from China to the US, with the specifications of 0.012" by 40.875" G30 (0.30 mm x 1.04 m), currently range from approximately $780/mt to $800/mt CFR FO US Gulf ports. Chinese offers of 0.019" x 48" G90 (0.48 mm x 1.219 m) HDG coils for the US range from $800/mt to $820/mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports. Both of these offers are unchanged when compared to the beginning of this week.
Meanwhile, Indian HDG offers for the US are also unchanged since early this week. Indian offers of 0.012" G30 continue to range from $850/mt to $870/mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports, while Indian offers of 0.019" G90 range from $830/mt to $850/mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports.
Korea has come out with new offers for HDG coils to the US since last week; however, they are not competitive when compared to offers from China and India. Korean offers of 0.012" G30 are at a level of $950/mt to $970/mt CFR FO US Gulf ports; while Korean offers of 0.019" G90 range from approximately $900/mt to $920/mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports.
Taiwanese HDG coil offers for the US are somewhere in between the Korean and Indian offer levels, with Taiwanese offers of 0.012" G30 ranging from $925/mt to $950/mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports and offers of 0.019" G90 for the US ranging from $875/mt to $900/mt CFR FO US Gulf ports.
