Import flat steel prices in Turkey continue to rise

During the past week, Turkish buyers’ demand for import flat steel has remained at low levels, while import flat steel quotations to Turkey have moved up in line with the rises seen in the global flat steel market.

Hot rolled coil (HRC) offers from Ukraine and Russia to Turkey have increased by $37.5/mt and $35/mt week on week to $620-625/mt CFR and $620-630/mt CFR, respectively. Meanwhile, Ukrainian cold rolled coil (CRC) offers to Turkey have risen by $30/mt week on week to $640-650/mt CFR, while Russian CRC offers have also moved up by $30/mt in the same period to $650-670/mt CFR.
