SteelOrbis has learned that import cold rolled coil (CRC) offers to the US from India have become a little more competitive than in recent weeks and have declined, on average, by approximately $10 /mt over the last week and now range from about $530 /mt to $550 /mt, CFR FO Gulf Coast ports.

Furthermore, CRC offerings from Brazil, Turkey and Mexico have also softened by about $10 /mt from last week and can currently be found in the range of around $530 /mt to $550 /mt. Brazilian and Turkish offers are CFR FO Gulf Coast ports, while Mexican offers are delivered to the US border.

Meanwhile, Chinese CRC offers remain the least competitive of foreign import CRC sources to the US, and are still hovering around $600 /mt CFR FO US Gulf and West Coast ports.
