Import purchases have started to be concluded in the Turkish domestic flat steel market, after new imports offers gained clarity over the past two weeks. In the past week, an ex-Ukraine deal for 40,000-50,000 mt of hot rolled coil (HRC) has been concluded in Turkey at the price level of $545-550/mt CFR, while an ex-Slovakia deal for 30,000 mt of HRC has been concluded at $575/mt CFR. Although demand in Turkey for import products is not that strong, it is observed that demand has improved compared to last month.

In the meantime, Ukrainian HRC offers for Turkey are now at $545-550/mt CFR, while ex-Ukraine cold rolled coil (CRC) offers are at $620-625/mt CFR. Meanwhile, ex-Russia HRC offers stand at $590-600/mt CFR, while Russian CRC offers can be found at $700-715/mt CFR. In addition, Slovakian HRC offers to Turkey are at $575/mt CFR
