Hot rolled coil (HRC) demand in Oman, which has weakened ahead of Ramadan, is currently at low levels, while prices are unchanged. Meanwhile, domestic HRC demand is expected to recover after Ramadan, while market players state that, unless significant demand improvement is observed in the market, any price increases would have a negative impact on the demand side.

SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that CIS and Indian origin July rolling HRC import offers to Oman are still standing at $615-625/mt + VAT CFR, for advance payment.
