SteelOrbis has been informed that due to declines seen in global flat steel prices, demand for hot rolled coil (HRC) in the North African market has slowed down during the past week and is currently at weak levels. During the period in question, HRC offers from the CIS region to North Africa have moved down by $5/mt on the lower end and decreased by $15/mt on the upper end to the range of $320-330/mt FOB. Buyers are postponing their purchases against the backdrop of the anticipation of a further decline in HRC prices.
