Market sources state that Chinese offers for hot rolled coil (HRC) to Taiwan are currently at $400-410/mt CFR, for shipment in March. However, as Taiwanese buyers are cautious about Chinese chrome-added steel products, they are unlikely to accelerate their HRC purchases and they prefer to wait until the outlook for the market is clarified after the Chinese New Year holiday.

Meanwhile, ex-Russia and ex-South Korea HRC offers to Taiwan are respectively at $430/mt CFR and $460/mt CFR, both for shipments in March.
