Some hot rolled coil (HRC) import offers to Oman have increased this week, while demand has continued to slow down, with the higher HRC import offers failing to gain acceptance among Omani buyers. In the meantime, market players state that the uptrend in import offers is unlikely to trigger transaction activity.
SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that Russian origin HRC import offers to Oman have increased by about $5-10/mt since last week to $590-600/mt CFR, while Ukrainian HRC offers to Oman are still at $560/mt CFR.
