SteelOrbis has been informed that 1 mm x 1,219 mm 80 gr/m² zinc coated hot dipped galvanized (HDG) coil export offers from China are currently at the level of $740/mt FOB, while 1 mm x 1,219 mm 120 gr/m² zinc coated hot dipped galvanized (HDG) coil export offers are at $760/mt FOB - both on actual weight basis and for shipment in October/November. The thirteen percent export tax rebate has been taken into account in both prices.
In the past week, China's HDG market has basically been stable. At present, transactions are not so good and most exporting enterprises are following a wait-and-see strategy, while foreign traders are considering when to enter the Chinese market to conclude purchases. Currently, domestic market quotations of the same size galvanized coils are at around RMB 5,230/mt ($781/mt) and domestic prices will be possibly remain stable before the National Day holiday.
