In the Turkish domestic hot dip galvanized (HDG) steel market, the sales prices of local production material are as follows:

Product

Price ($/mt)

HDG   0.50 mm  100gr/m²

820-840

HDG   1 mm  100gr/m²

785-815

HDG   2 mm  100gr/m²

770-790

The above prices, which may differ depending on product quality, are ex-works, exclude VAT, and are for advance payment.

In the Turkish domestic market, HDG prices have decreased by $25-30/mt as compared to last month, while demand has remained slack. Local buyers are expecting new price cuts and currently they are only concluding deals to cover their urgent needs. Additionally, HDG demand will likely decline further ahead of the maintenance period for the automotive sector in the summer.
