German plate producer Dillinger Hütte, with an annual production capacity of 2.3 million mt of quarto plates, announced today, February 12 that it has increased its plate prices by €30/mt for deliveries in the second quarter of this year with immediate effect.

Dillinger Hütte stated that, after initial price gains in recent weeks, it saw the price increase of €30/mt as a realistic approach based on market fundamentals. "Positive effects from the restocking cycle in combination with improving market sentiment of end-users are supporting the move. This will also help to cover the raw material and energy related cost increase," reads the company statement.
