The Turkish flats market has not indicated any significant change compared to last week. Bulgarian steel mill Kremikovtzi is offering hot rolled coils at $630-635/mt CIF FO Turkey for October shipments. Moreover, it is also heard that Romanian steelmaker Mittal Steel Galati is offering hot rolled coils $625-630/mt CFR Turkey for October shipments. There may be new price announcements by Russia steelmakers next week. It is unlikely that a serious change will be seen in the new prices.

Libyan origin over-rolling hot rolled coils are being offered to southern Europe at €400/mt FOB for September shipment. Egyptian origin over-rolling hot rolled coils are being offered at $605-615/mt FOB for September shipments. In the local Italian market, hot rolled coils are being offered at €450-460/mt, excluding VAT. On the other hand, hot rolled coils are being offered at €460-470/mt, excluding VAT, in the local Spanish market. This latter market is less competitive compared to the local Italian market, with prices being slightly higher. The southern European market, which will enter its summer holiday period at the end of this week, may return to the market with price rises after the holiday.
Ukrainian steelmaker Ilyich is offering hot rolled coils to Israel at $550/mt FOB for August shipment, while cold rolled coils ex-same mill are being offered at $615/mt FOB. Another Ukrainian mill is heard to be offering cold rolled coils at $615/mt FOB and at $600/mt FOB for shipment to Sudan and Senegal, respectively.
