Flats prices in the Italian market

SteelOrbis has been informed that Italian steelmaker Ilva's base price for HRC currently stand at the level of €720/mt ex-works for July-August shipments.

Meanwhile, in the latest ex-China deals to Italy, HRC was booked at the level of €660/mt CIF FO Italy, whereas CRC was booked at €745/mt CIF FO Italy, both for June shipments.

In addition, Ukrainian-origin HRC offers for the Italian market stand at the level of $1,090/mt CIF Italy, whereas CRC offers for the same destination are at the level of $1,170/mt CIF Italy, both for June shipments.

The base prices in Italy, which were in a range of €680-690/mt, have increased to the level of €720/mt. Though demand is not so strong in the Italian flats market, the mills continue to hike their prices.
