Prices have softened further in the local Italian flat steel market compared to last week. Domestic producers' prices are now at €390-400/mt ($433-444/mt) for hot rolled coil (HRC), and at €500/mt ($555/mt)both for cold rolled coil (CRC) and hot dip galvanized (HDG), all ex-works.

Prices have decreased by €20/mt ($22/mt) compared to seven days ago and, according to sources, could soften by another €20/mt ($22/mt) in the next two weeks since current prices are considered to be on the high side by distributors and buyers are ordering only what they need.

€1 = $1.11
