SteelOrbis has learned that the price level of local production HRC in India is at $480-500/mt ex-warehouse, indicating a decrease of $60/mt compared to the level of two weeks ago; meanwhile, the base prices of Indian producer Tata Steel for HRC are at the level of $500/mt ex-warehouse in the local market. Meanwhile, local production 0.5-1.0 mm 120 gr/m² zinc coated HDG is priced at $760-775/mt ex-warehouse, an increase of $5/mt compared to the level of two weeks ago. As regards local production CRC, the offer levels are at $550-580/mt ex-warehouse in India's domestic market.
Looking at the Indian flats export market, Indian producers are offering HRC for export at $445-455/mt FOB India, indicating a decrease of $60/mt from two weeks ago, whereas 0.5 mm 275 gr/m² zinc coated HDG is being offered by domestic producers to the export markets at $710-720/mt FOB India, up $35/mt from two weeks ago; all offers are for January shipment.
In the Indian flats import market, ex-Ukraine HRC is being offered to India at the price level of $430/mt CFR Mumbai for January shipment, indicating a decrease of $70/mt compared to the price level of two weeks ago, whereas ex-Russia HRC is being offered to India at the price level of $450/mt CFR Mumbai for January shipment. Meanwhile, ex-China HRC is being offered to India at $520/mt, also for January shipment, showing no change from the price of two weeks ago.
