SteelOrbis has been informed that demand for hot rolled coil (HRC) in the North African market has been weak during the past two weeks due to Ramadan, while ex-CIS HRC offers to North African countries have moved sideways over the same period in the range of $370-375/mt FOB. After Ramadan, transaction activity in the market is expected to increase, while offers are expected to soften due to the acceleration foreseen in price negotiations.
