On September 11, SteelOrbis reported ex-China flat steel offers to Chile for HRC at $595-600/mt CFR, CRC at $640-650/mt CFR, and HDG at $720-735/mt CFR.

According to sources, the most recent HRC offers are at $610-620/mt CFR, CRC offers at $640-650/mt CFR and HDG at $725-735/mt CFR. The new ranges represent an increase of $15/mt from the bottom of the previous HRC range and $20/mt from the top, while relatively stable price levels were reported on CRC and HDG for the week. According to a source, “Some HRC trades have been reported in the higher $500’s/mt in the general region as buyers do have some domestic demand to plan for. Additionally, some buyers are starting to believe that the overall Chinese prices may be here to stay for the remainder of the year with limited downward corrections.”
