Outokumpu, Aperam and Acerinox, leading stainless steel producers in Europe, have announced their alloy surcharges for September. The cash seller and settlement nickel price has mostly trended upwards since the beginning of July. As a result, alloy surcharge prices of the three major stainless steel producers have moved up, effective from September 1.
Following the declines recorded in the third week of August, the cash nickel prices at the London Metal Exchange (LME) were standing at $9,725/mt as of the end of business on August 30.
