Outokumpu, Aperam and Acerinox, leading stainless steel producers in Europe, have announced their alloy surcharges for November, increasing their prices effective from October 28. The cash seller and settlement nickel price at the London Metal Exchange (LME) mostly trended upwards during the first two weeks of October, decreasing to $9,995/mt in the third week, while it again moved on an upward trend in the last week of the month, providing support for the three European stainless steel producers to increase their alloy surcharges.
The cash nickel prices at the London Metal Exchange (LME) were standing at $10,340/mt as of the end of business on October 28.
The alloy surcharge prices for November 2016 of the producers in question are as follows:
